Protecting Our Community, Preserving Our Future

About Us:

We are Sustainable Greystones, a community activist group made up of residents, schools, parents, businesses, and professionals in fields such as law, planning, tax, company tracing, property, and campaigning. Our mission is to build a brighter and more sustainable future for Greystones through community engagement, inclusive participation, and locally driven solutions that support the well-being of our community and protect our natural environment.

About Sustainable Greystones - A Transition Town Initiative:

We are part of the Transition network, a global movement of over 1000 towns and cities working towards a low-carbon and socially just future with resilient communities. Our mission is to build a sustainable future for Greystones by addressing climate change through community engagement and inclusive participation. We aim to empower the community, strengthen a sense of belonging, and increase participation through collaboration and people-centered methods.

To achieve our mission, we are using proven methodologies from the Transition network, such as setting up renewable energy projects, re-localizing food systems, creating community and green spaces, and building community connection and care. We also protect our communities from unwanted or harmful influences that may be detrimental to our community or local environment. Our initiative is still in its early stages, but we are determined to make a positive impact.

Join us in our mission to create a better future for our children and community. Contact us at BeAgainstCasino@gmail.com to get involved.
